Pre-Paid Electric Energy Meter With Theft Alert

Abstract


A prepaid energy meter with theft detection focuses on designing a system that not only allows consumers to pre-pay for electricity but also incorporates features to detect and prevent internal and external theft. This system typically uses internal sensors and external monitoring to detect anomalies in power consumption, potentially indicating meter tampering or unauthorized usage, and reports these events to the electricity board. The system often uses communication modules, like GSM, to transmit this information and potentially trigger actions like cutting off the power supply.
