Niket Kalal, Dr. Ajay Massand

Abstract

The main motive of Investors is to gain high returns from their investments. Investors can utilize the company's credit ratings and other factors in investing in the stocks of these airline companies, make informed decisions about their investments, and maximize their returns. The primary purpose of this research is to analyze whether or not credit rating, which helps to understand the creditworthiness of a company impacts the return generated by the airline stocks. This research also includes other factors such as interest coverage ratio, debt to equity ratio, profit to asset ratio, impact of COVID-19, and profit to total expenditure ratio which can impact the return generated by stock. Therefore, by utilizing panel data analysis we perform a comparative analysis of the impact of credit rating on Indian airline stock returns to prominent global airlines. All the financial data of companies is collected from their annual financial reports, and a panel data regression is performed for analysis.
