Demographics & Work-Life Balance: Unravelling Trends in Andhra Pradesh’s Workspaces

Abstract


Work-life balance (WLB) is a growing concern in Andhra Pradesh’s corporate sector, especially in industries like IT, banking, manufacturing, and MSMEs. This study explores how gender, experience, and management level influence WLB, analyzing 300 employees using one-way ANOVA.  The findings show that experience and management level play a major role in shaping WLB. Employees with 18-23 years of experience rely more on trade unions for support, while those with 12-17 years of experience prefer collaborating with employers to improve WLB policies. Lower-level employees focus on job security and fair rewards, while senior professionals value flexibility and work-life integration.  With remote work blurring boundaries and high workloads in IT and banking, the need for flexible work options, strong managerial support, and employee-driven policies is greater than ever. Companies that embrace WLB-friendly cultures will see happier, more engaged employees and better overall performance.
