Forecasting of Sugarcane Production in Karnataka up to the year 2050 using ARIMA Model

Abstract


The intention of the report is to forecast the Sugarcane production in Karnataka up to year 2050, by collecting historic data of Sugarcane production in Karnataka. The research report contains information about Sugarcane production in Karnataka, historic data of Sugarcane production from the year 1951 to 2018, time series plot of the data, selection of best ARIMA model to forecast the data and forecasting of Sugarcane production data up to year 2050. For selecting best ARIMA model, the report contains first order differentiation and analysis of Auto-Correlation Function (ACF) & Partial Auto-Correlation Function (PACF) plots. After forecasts, the report is concluded with conclusion and references.
