Blockchain technology for transparent wage payments in freelance economy

Abstract


The investigation delves into the influence of decentralized system in overhauling payment transactions in gig workforce. As gig/contract work is rising prominent obstacles like deferred earnings, financial mismatch and credibility concerns among gig contractors and customers. Blockchain with its devolved and irreversible essence offers lucrative approach to augment payment accountability, safety and efficacy. It scrutinizes how blockchain can aid prompt payouts, lower scam and equip gig workers through digital agreements. Complications like digital roadblocks, regulatory ambiguities and necessity for mass uptake endure. It underscores blockchain groundbreaking repercussion on gig workforce championing for novel strategies to optimize compensation process and nurture credibility in this accelerating arena.

172 responses were received after survey. Chi-square (X2) is used to see if blockchain system/technology has any significant effect on user faith, integration, scalability and fair development in E-payments and freelance economy or not. Significance level (0.05).
