BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY: REVOLUTIONIZING DIGITAL TRANSACTIONS AND SECURITY

Raghu Ram Chowdary Velevela

Abstract

Blockchain technology has emerged as a revolutionary innovation with the potential to redefine the foundations of digital interactions and information management. Initially introduced as the underlying framework for Bitcoin, blockchain has since evolved into a multifaceted technology influencing a wide range of industries, including finance, healthcare, supply chain management, cybersecurity, governance, and digital identity. At its core, blockchain functions as a decentralized, distributed ledger that enables secure, transparent, and tamper-proof record-keeping of transactions across a network of nodes. By eliminating the need for intermediaries, it reduces costs, enhances operational efficiency, and increases trust among participants. This paper presents a comprehensive overview of the blockchain ecosystem, including its fundamental principles, architectural components, real-world applications, benefits, existing limitations, and future growth trajectories. As adoption continues to accelerate, blockchain holds the promise of transforming traditional digital systems into more resilient, trustworthy, and autonomous environments.
