Blockchain Based Ticketing Service

Kaushik Bangari, P Poornima .

Abstract

This paper discusses how blockchain technology and Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) can transform event ticketing by enhancing transparency, security, and efficiency. NFT-based tickets use decentralized ledgers to prevent counterfeiting, ensure verified ownership, and offer traceability for organizers and attendees. Smart contracts automate transactions, reducing fraud and enabling rule-based resales. This approach also supports new revenue models, such as royalties from secondary sales. Blockchain’s transparency fosters trust through real-time validation and clear ownership history. Unlike traditional tickets, NFTs can offer interactive features or rewards, improving user engagement. By addressing industry challenges and introducing innovative capabilities, NFT ticketing provides a reliable, modern alternative for digital event management.
