Abstract

Addressing the challenges posed by global warming and environmental degradation has become a priority in modern construction. Concrete, a fundamental building material, is a major consumer of energy and natural resources while also contributing significantly to CO₂ emissions, primarily due to cement production. The large-scale manufacturing of concrete places strain on resources, energy consumption, and ecological balance, making it essential to develop sustainable alternatives.
