DEVELOPMENT OF SMART EXAUST VENTILATION FOR AUTONOMOUS ENVIRONMENT MONITORING & CONTROL

Dr. Pradeep Karanje, Abdul Awais, Md Kamran, Mohd Aftab Ahmed, P Mahesh Chary

Abstract

This paper presents the development and implementation of an intelligent exhaust ventilation fan system designed for real-time autonomous environmental monitoring and control in indoor settings. The system combines advanced Internet of Things (IOT) technology, environmental sensors, and a microcontroller-based control unit to create a highly responsive air quality management solution. Key sensors measure critical air quality parameters— temperature, humidity, and particulate matter (PM2.5 and PM10)—allowing the system to accurately assess indoor environmental conditions. The smart fan dynamically adjusts its speed and operation based on live data, automatically activating or modifying its function when pollutant levels or environmental conditions deviate from set thresholds. This automated response capability aims to maintain optimal indoor air quality while minimizing unnecessary energy use, resulting in a more sustainable and efficient ventilation solution compared to traditional systems.
