Plan and Manufacture of Sun powered Dryer for Tomato
Abstract
The sunlight based dryer has been exceptionally evolved and assessed for its presentation for drying of tomato cuts. The stacking limit of the dryer was around 10 kg cuts for each clump. The drying qualities of the dryer were considered and contrasted with deference with open sun drying technique. The most extreme temperature created in the drying office of dryer was seen to be 52.63°C. Drying time for drying tomato cuts from starting dampness content of 94% (wb) to conclusive dampness content of 8.97% (wb) was recorded to be 12.5 h in said sun based dryer while, 15 h was seen in the open sun drying. The powder was ready from tomato cuts dried in the said sun oriented t dryer had dim red tone when contrasted with that for open sun-dried tomato cuts powder. It was seen that the rock with iron piece heat capacity framework provided intensity to the drying chamber for 3 additional hours after nightfall. Subsequently, the extended3 hours after sun set worked with the finish of drying in a solitary day.
