ROOTZONE TREATMENT: AN INNOVATIVE AND SUSTAINABLE WATER TREATMENT THROUGH PHYTORID TECHNOLOGY: - A REVIEW

Abstract


Need of sustainable water treatment method and process is pertinent in today’s rapid urbanization. Recycling and reuse of treated water to certain applications has become very essential due to scarcity and access to clean water. Phytoremediation is an eco-friendly and sustainable environmental remediation technique that uses plants to mitigate or eliminate pollutants from soil, water, and air. Phytoremediation, an emerging method to address environmental contamination, involves growing plants in contaminated areas to aid in the sequestration and detoxification of pollutants. However, one must carefully consider the costs, climatic limitations on plant growth, and the comparatively slower pace of phytoremediation compared to traditional methods. The long-term consequences of employing green plant technology for eliminating or sequestering environmental contaminants also demand thorough examination. Additionally, the technology described utilizes a natural approach for treating domestic and industrial effluents efficiently. RZTS is deep rooted in calm environments, highlighting simple activity, negligible establishment, low upkeep, and functional expenses, consolidating automatic elements from a fake soil biological system.
