Jagan Kante

Abstract

The inappropriate removal of strong waste makes extreme ecological effects, for example, air contamination, soil contamination, ground water pollution, surface water tainting and general medical conditions. We designed a sanitary landfill for disposing of solid waste from Virudhunagar town in order to mitigate these negative effects on the environment. The proposed landfill has a three-year design life. Also, the proposed site is situated in P.Kumaralingapuram town having area of around 2625m2. For the plan of landfill we use configuration codes referenced in EPA (Natural Assurance Organization) manual. To keep up with appropriate sterile circumstances, we give surface waste assortment framework, leachate assortment framework, landfill gas assortment framework, groundwater observing wells, covering framework, landfill liners, and cushion zone and so on.
