SYNTHESIS AND APPLICATION OF ZEOLITE FOR THE TREATMENT OFWASTE WATER

Abstract


The main objective of this study was to synthesize zeolite using a hydrothermal method with rice husk ash as the silica source, aiming to reduce the mean particle size of zeolite and optimize crystallization conditions while considering economic factors. Water, an essential resource, is often contaminated by industrial, agricultural, and sewage waste, making it crucial to address water pollution. Natural zeolites have shown promise in water purification. This project focuses on creating an eco-friendly zeolite from affordable materials to efficiently treat and remove harmful substances from polluted water sources. The goal is to provide a sustainable and cost-effective solution for enhancing water quality. Additionally, by exploring and optimizing this zeolite-based approach, we aim to advance the development of accessible and efficient wastewater treatment method.
