Real time vehicle monitoring and safety alert system with esp32
Abstract
In recent years, the need for efficient vehicle tracking and monitoring systems has grown exponentially due to the rise in theft, misuse, and rash driving incidents. This project focuses on developing a "Vehicle Asset Tracking & Rash Driving Alert System" using ESP32, GSM, GPS, and MEMS Vibration Sensors. The proposed system ensures real-time vehicle tracking, detects harsh driving behaviours such as sudden acceleration, abrupt braking, and sharp turns, and sends immediate alerts to the concerned authorities or vehicle owners. The ESP32 microcontroller acts as the core processing unit, interfacing with GSM for communication, GPS for location tracking, and MEMS sensors to monitor vibrations caused by rash driving. This system not only enhances vehicle security but also promotes safer driving habits and helps fleet managers monitor and manage their assets effectively .This documents explores the system development working, applications, advantages, challenges, and future potential.
