Integration of PLC in CNC Systems
Abstract
This research paper explores the integration of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) into Computer Numerical Control (CNC) systems to augment control capabilities and flexibility in manufacturing processes. PLCs offer a versatile platform for real-time monitoring, data processing, and control logic implementation, complementing the high precision and automation features of CNC machines. The abstract provides an overview of the synergistic relationship between CNC and PLC technologies, highlighting the advantages of their integration in optimizing machining operations, improving process efficiency, and enabling adaptive control strategies. Key applications, challenges, and future directions in leveraging PLCs for enhanced CNC system performance are discussed to facilitate advancements in manufacturing automation and control.
