Jig Design Process for Enhanced Manufacturing Precision
Abstract
A key factor in improving the precision, efficacy, and economy of manufacturing processes is jig design. The methodical approach to jig design is the main topic of this research article, which highlights the significance of process optimization for increased accuracy and productivity. Through a detailed analysis of jig components, materials, and alignment techniques, this study examines key design considerations such as load-bearing capacity, tolerances, and ergonomic factors. The paper also presents a case study where a custom-designed jig was implemented in an industrial setting, yielding measurable improvements in production speed and quality control. The findings highlight the significance of computer-aided design (CAD) and finite element analysis (FEA) in modern jig design, along with recommendations for future advancements in this field.
