A Review on Maximizing Efficiency Innovative Approaches to Thermal Performance in Solar Power Plant
Abstract
The thermal performance of solar power plants is a critical factor influencing their efficiency and overall energy output. This study examines the various parameters that affect thermal performance, including solar radiation, ambient temperature, and the design of solar collectors. By analyzing different types of solar power systems, such as parabolic troughs, solar towers, and concentrating solar power (CSP) technologies, we explore their thermal efficiency and heat transfer mechanisms. The integration of advanced thermal storage solutions is also discussed, highlighting their role in enhancing energy dispatchability and reducing reliance on fossil fuels. Furthermore, this research emphasizes the importance of optimizing operational strategies and maintenance practices to maximize thermal performance. By addressing these factors, solar power plants can significantly contribute to sustainable energy goals and mitigate climate change impacts.
