E-Book - Digital Library Transformation

Abstract


In today’s digital age, the demand for quick and remote access to educational resources has become more critical than ever. Traditional libraries, though rich in content, often pose limitations in terms of accessibility, physical space, and maintenance. To overcome these challenges, the transformation of conventional libraries into digitalized platforms offers an efficient, scalable, and environmentally friendly solution. This project presents the development of an E-book website aimed at providing students and academic users with seamless access to digital study materials such as textbooks, notes, previous question papers, and syllabi.

The platform allows users to register, log in, and access categorized content based on semester, subject, and material type. Administrators can upload and manage resources using a dedicated backend interface, ensuring the platform remains updated and relevant. Built using modern web technologies including Spring Boot for the backend and ReactJS for the frontend, the system provides a responsive, secure, and user-friendly interface. Additional features such as search filters, file downloads, and role-based access control enhance the usability and functionality of the website.

By integrating database management, the platform ensures data integrity and fast retrieval. This digital library not only supports academic learning by offering 24/7 access to study materials but also promotes eco-friendly practices by reducing the need for printed resources. The system reflects a significant step toward digital transformation in education, enabling institutions and learners to adopt a more efficient, accessible, and future-ready approach to information sharing and knowledge management.
