Plan and Manufacture of Groundnut Shelling and Isolating Machine

Rohit Sharma

Abstract

The goal of this project was to create an electrically powered groundnut shelling and separating machine using a 0.5 horsepower motor. The machine has the limit of shelling 60kg of groundnut each hour with a shelling and isolating efficiencies of 80% and 85% individually. The machine's low cost, ease of affordability, and lower cost of maintenance are all due to its use of locally sourced components. The blower unit, crushing chamber, separation chamber, and hopper are all included. It is also lightweight. The majority of the groundnut pods that emerged unshelled or partially shelled during the testing process were those with one small seed per pod and two small seeds in their pods.
