Sensor Applications in Robotics
Abstract
Sensors play a crucial role in robotics by enabling perception, control, and decision-making, allowing robots to interact intelligently with their environment. This paper explores various sensor technologies used in robotics, including vision sensors, LiDAR, ultrasonic sensors, force/torque sensors, and inertial measurement units (IMUs). The integration of these sensors enhances robotic autonomy in applications such as industrial automation, medical robotics, autonomous vehicles, and humanoid robotics. Recent advancements in AI-driven sensor fusion and edge computing have further improved the efficiency and adaptability of robotic systems. This study highlights the latest developments, challenges, and future prospects of sensor technologies in robotics.
