Advancements in Energy and Power Systems for Sustainable Mechanical Engineering Applications
Abstract
The growing demand for energy efficiency and sustainability has significantly influenced the evolution of power systems in mechanical engineering applications. This research paper explores the integration of advanced energy technologies—such as renewable energy systems, energy recovery mechanisms, and high-efficiency power transmission techniques—into mechanical systems. It covers both conventional and emerging solutions in sectors such as manufacturing, transportation, HVAC, and robotics. Special emphasis is placed on the optimization of power-to-work conversion, waste energy minimization, and the use of computational modeling to enhance system performance. Case studies illustrate practical implementations and their impact on energy consumption and environmental sustainability. The paper concludes with a discussion on future trends, including smart grids, energy harvesting technologies, and hybrid power systems in mechanical design.
