Vacuum Tube using Solar

Fathima Begum

Abstract

However, the use of solar energy has demonstrated that it is highly used for desalination in the area of small demand of fresh water and is also economical. Examples of such processes include reverse osmosis and dialysis, which are not only energy intensive but also unfeasible for small demand of fresh water. For these reasons, these processes are referred to as conventional distillation processes. Using solar energy, a free energy source, is one of the most crucial ways to extract clean water from brackish or seawater. Using a vacuum tube that pre-heats the water before it is sprayed into the solar still basin, we hope to boost the evaporation rate while utilizing the sun's free energy.
