Abstract

Myocardial diseases impact the heart muscle. These conditions can have various causes and can lead to health implications in a significant manner. Myocardial infarction happens when blood flow to a part if the heart is obstructed, resulting on the death of the heart muscles because if lack of oxygen. Symptoms include chest pain or discomfort, shortness of breath, nausea and sweating. Types of cardiomyopathy include dilated cardiomyopathy, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy ND restrictive cardiomyopathy. Chest pain, fever, exhaustion, and palpitations are signs of myocardititis. In arthythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy (ARVC), a rare hereditary disorder, the right ventricle's heart muscle gradually gives way to fatty and fibrous tissue. Symptoms of ARVC are palpitations, fainting and Cardiac arrest. Treatment is based on life style changes. Medications, Cardiac rehabilitation and in some cases procedures namely angioplasty or heart surgery. Finally it is concluded that myocardial disease encompass range of conditions influencing the heart muscle, with causes ranging from genetic factors to life style choices.
