A Comparative Study on the Properties of Mechanical on Jute Fibre Vs Jute - Glass Fibre along with Filler Material Polymer Composites

T. N. Vijay Kumar

Abstract

For abundant engineering field applications polymer matrix composites are the favourable in the materials area. In this paper experimentation conducted to estimate the properties of mechanical Jute Fibre (PMC) and Jute Glass- Fibre (HPMC) along with artificial filler material. Typical method that is hand layup procedure was embraced for the composites fabrication. The mechanical properties like tensile strength, flexural strength impact and hardness were acquired as per the ASTM standards. Quantifiable comparison of these properties between PMC and HPMC reveals improvement of tensile and flexural strength in HPMC with flyash.
