Abstract

The products made from plastic material are hazardous for environment as they pollute soil, water etc. It can be prevented by use of biodegradable materials prepared from different composite materials. Now days, many composite materials are being developed for obtaining specific property for different applications. To prepare composite material, various fibers like banana, coconut, jute, carbon, etc. are used in different proportions. In this paper, specimens of various composite materials were prepared according to ASTM E23 standard. Those specimens were tested for impact strength using charpy impact test. The result of comparative analysis showed that the composite material with banana & glass fiber is having highest impact strength. So, it can be recommanded for making toys, drons, badminton rackets, etc.
