Advancements in G-Code Programming

A. D. Awasare

Abstract

G-Code programming has long been the backbone of computer numerical control (CNC) machining, playing a pivotal role in converting design specifications into precise machine movements. This research paper presents a thorough review of the advancements in G-Code programming techniques, exploring its evolution from basic commands to sophisticated algorithms. Key topics covered include the optimization of tool paths, adaptive machining strategies, integration of artificial intelligence, and the emergence of hybrid manufacturing processes. Furthermore, this paper examines the impact of G-Code programming on manufacturing efficiency, accuracy, and flexibility, highlighting its significance in various industries such as aerospace, automotive, and medical devices. Through an analysis of current trends and research directions, this paper also outlines potential future developments in G-Code programming, including enhanced interoperability with CAD/CAM systems, real-time monitoring and control, and the utilization of novel materials.
