General Design Parameters for Developing an Efficient Emission Control System
Abstract
The design of emission control systems plays a crucial role in minimizing pollutants released from combustion engines and industrial processes. Establishing appropriate design parameters ensures compliance with environmental regulations, enhances system durability, and optimizes performance. Key considerations include material selection for thermal resistance, flow dynamics for minimizing backpressure, integration of catalytic converters and particulate filters, and sensor-based monitoring for real-time control. This paper outlines general design parameters to guide researchers and engineers in developing effective emission control systems that balance efficiency, cost, and sustainability.
