PV Fed High Gain DC-DC Boost Converter for Induction Motor with Adaptive Hill Climb MPPT Method
Abstract
In present scenario, the renewable energy is more abundant source which can replace fossil fuels like coal and gas. Solar power generation is economical and it becomes more important due to many advantages, such as less maintenance, less noise, pollution free. In this project work, Adaptive hill climbing algorithm is introduced in MPPT technique to track the operating point at which maximum power can be extracted from PV. To step-up the high voltage level from the PV panel a non-isolated dc-dc boost converter is used. So that the efficiency of the converter is high, switching losses is reduced and high voltage gain is obtained. The DC power is converted to AC with three phase inverter and then given to the three phase induction motor.
