Food Rescue- AI Based Surplus Food Donation Platform
Abstract
Food Rescue is an AI-powered surplus food donation platform designed to reduce food wastage and support people in need. The system connects food donors such as hotels, hostels, restaurants, and function halls with NGOs and volunteers who can collect and distribute surplus food efficiently. Using AI and location-based features, the platform helps identify nearby donation opportunities, predict food availability, and improve the coordination of food rescue activities. The system also provides real-time tracking, transparent donation records, and impact metrics such as meals saved, people helped, and CO₂ emissions reduced. Overall, Food Rescue promotes sustainable food management, community participation, and social welfare by transforming surplus food into a valuable resource for those in need.
