Using MySQL for Storing and Analysing Sensor Data in IoT Systems
Abstract
IoT (Internet of Things), the network of components, devices, etc., which are attached with sensors and are communicated to each other through internet connectivity. This could make them smart, automated and can be controlled through portable mobile devices with the help of internet.
MySQL integrated with the IoT, makes it easier to store and analyze the data that has been fetched from sensors and makes the data retrieval efficient. In this paper, the sensors that has been considered are the temperature and humidity sensors across first, second and third floor of the building. The study could prove the use of MySQL in real time applications such as automating air conditioning system in a smart home or an industry and further to this study, an alert management system could be built if temperature / humidity exceeds or falls below the threshold set.
