Characterization and Comparison of Material Properties for Replacement of Cement and Fine Aggregate by Granite Waste and Bottom Ash

Abstract


An investigation is carried out experimentally to compare the physical properties of
admixtures and conventional materials. Basic properties of materials such as sieve analysis, water absorption and specific gravity for admixtures like granite waste and bottom ash is determined. The test result is compared with the conventional material and this experimental research mainly aims to check the effectiveness of materials for the replacement of cement and fine aggregate. The variations in the values are checked for the acceptable limit for replacement.
