Bioactivity of Clove Essential Oil

Abstract


Recent years the interest in using antifungal rather than chemicals in fruits and food products has been increasing day by day. This all essential oils natural and liquid secondary plant metabolites like alkaloids, flavonoids and glycosides are gaining importance of their use within the preservatives of foods. Since, they’re safe and healthy for mankind. Cloveare selected efficacy of organic buds oil. The antifungal activity of essential oil are mostly relyingupon its chemical constituents present in it which doesn’t allowed the fungal hyphae and mycelium to grow in certain time of period. These oils are mainly utilized in pharmaceutical so as to preserve certain living entities. The phytochemicals present in this plant are mostly used for antifungal, antibacterial, antihistaminic, antipyretic etc. A review provides an overview of the current literature on clove essential oils mainly antifungal activity, antibacterial activity, antioxidant activity, anti-mycotoxigenic activity.
