An illustration on Physio-Chemical Parameters on Pond Ecosystem of University Campus of Gorantala, A.P.

Abstract

This study was designed to focus on the experimental study on three ponds of Best Innovation University Campus of Gorantala, A.P. to assess the quality of pond water. The observation of physico-chemical parameters including Water Temperature, pH, TDS (Total Dissolve Solid), DO₂ (Dissolved oxygen), Ammonia and Free Co₂. The results were evaluated and compared with WHO and BIS water quality standards. The result obtained by the study demonstrated the water quality index which quantify the overall pond water quality status of the area. It was observed that WQI showed to be a significant task and hence suitable for domestic purposes.
