Comparative Pathogenesis: Examining Diverse Plant Leaf Diseases

M. Bharathi, T. Aditya Sai Srinivas

Abstract

Plant leaf diseases represent formidable obstacles to global agricultural endeavors, exerting adverse effects on crop productivity, qualitative attributes, and overall phytosanitary status. This comprehensive review undertakes a methodical analysis and juxtaposition of various plant leaf diseases, with particular emphasis on elucidating their etiological underpinnings, manifestation symptoms, and efficacious management modalities. Encompassing a broad spectrum of crop species and geographical locales, this study aims to furnish a nuanced comprehension of the multifaceted challenges engendered by these pathological agents. Central to this exhaustive inquiry is the comparative examination of plant leaf diseases affecting three pivotal crops: namely, apple (Malus domestica), maize (Zea mays), and grape (Vitis vinifera).
