Variable Fluid Properties of MHD Steady Natural Convection Flow Over a Vertical Flat Plate

Abstract


The natural convection process is very much important for combustion modeling, nuclear energy, heat exchanger etc. This paper investigate the steady two-dimensional natural convection flow of viscous fluid past over a vertical plate. The flow phenomena has been discussed numerically for the various fluid properties. An ode solver is used to solve the transformed dimensionless governing equations. The variable viscosity, thermal conductivity in momentum and energy equations are incorporated. The transformed governing equation solved numerically using Maple-13 software for various values of parameters. The effects of these parameters on the velocity and the temperature profile discussed graphically and numerically. The results are compared with the previous work and we find a better agreement.
